Strategy Execution – Framework Development

Summit’s approach to strategy execution is based on Kaplan and Norton’s Balanced Scorecard strategic management process which is far and away the leading global strategy execution methodology. Research over the years shows that companies that use the Balanced Scorecard to manage strategy consistently outperform their peers.

Our approach is very logical and systematic. Leaders and their teams love it because it makes executing strategy a simple daily process that becomes second nature i.e. “the way we do business”.

  • Describe then execute
A one-page Strategy Map says it all. It describes how capable people perform core activities that deliver targeted customer outcomes and to achieve desired financial results.

  • Strategy is a team sport
Your team wins when every player knows his and her role in executing the strategy through daily operating activities and special projects.

  • Measures guide progress
A strategy dashboard shows how well your strategy is working and where changes over time are needed.

“Brian did an excellent job of guiding the bank’s senior leadership team through a very productive strategy and Balanced Scorecard process. He was knowledgeable, professional, and well prepared.”
Ralph Edwards, CIO / Technology & Operations Executive Officer, Capital Bank

“The methods used by Brian enabled us to build a broader team consensus and made our operations and strategy an inclusive company-wide program that has been instrumental in retaining our key senior level people, who are still with us today.”
Jeff Vojta, CEO, Stockton Graham Inc.
